Bryce Frimming is an artist based in the Pacific Northwest whose interdisciplinary practice explores the psychological and philosophical dimensions of motorsport and automotive culture. Working across painting, photography, and mixed media, Frimming draws from his lifelong relationship with motorsport culture to investigate uncertainty, failure, risk, mortality, and ego. His ongoing inquiry, Auto Racing as Existential Thought, his personally developed philosophy as a framework for confronting the instability of existence. His work has been exhibited internationally, including in Germany, Mexico City, and Los Angeles. When he is not in the studio, Frimming can often be found at the racetrack or a car show, where his ongoing relationship with motorsport continues to inform his practice. Frimming received his BS in Photography and an MBA with an emphasis in Project Management from the University of Southern Indiana, as well as an MFA in Visual Studies from the Pacific Northwest College of Art.
